The Emerald Necklace (617-635-4505) traverses nine parks designed by Frederick Law Olmsted (who also designed New York City's Central Park) and Charles Eliot. The Dr. Paul Dudley White Charles River bike path follows the river for nearly 17 miles, winding from Watertown square to the Museum of Science.
